Loot System is a simple and effective way of generating loot randomly. You can create any number of tiers of loot each with their own weighted probability.
Provides a simple and expandable system to assign values to the loot but you are also able to execute an additional script when a specific loot item is generated to perform additional tasks. The prime use of this script functionality is to randomize the values of the loot from a base value but other uses such as creating more loot or changing the music exist.
By introducing a bias into the random tier script it is possible to make rare occurrences more common over time or to have different enemies or containers containing either rarer or more common loot.

Excellent and flexible
I bought this a long time ago for another game I was working on, but abandoned due to scope. While I was working on my current game I remembered I had this asset. I thought I'd give it a shot and it worked perfectly with the project. Easy to understand code, very flexible (I was able to add and use a bunch of variables very easily). The tier system works great. I was able to add the code to enemies' Destroy events. I just needed to code using the equipment, showing the stats of equipment when hovering the mouse over the loot drops, which weren't easy but not having to code the actual loot system made it much easier. I highly recommend.
I like it.
Not really for the person new to Game Maker(like me), but with a little testing and code changes, it works very well for my purpose.
