This asset will present you with a fun, and intelligent self-balancing ragdoll.


  • Fully customizable ragdoll appearance

With this asset you can:

  • Make your character/enemies more dynamic&unique
  • Give your characters an ability to interact with environment in style
  • Achieve a next-level hit reaction such as waddling or unbalancing after being shot

How do you use it?

With just a single line of script "ragdoll_spawn()" then you're ready to go. And there's another script "ragdoll_set_segment_spr()" used to modify the ragdoll's appearance.

Update Notes


  • Added a new script "ragdoll_define_size()" so you can set size for the ragdolls individually.


  • The ragdolls can do a proper jump & can swing their arms while running now.
  • They also should have a better reaction when falling now.


  • Tweaked the motion algorithm for the legs, now it looks more natural when walking.
  • Now feet can rotate to a proper angle when standing / walking on a slope.

A straight forward highly dynamic char. controller

For prototyping purposes alone, this package saves me a lot of time for quickly trying out various physical behaviours and interactions with another dynamic physics enabled character object.

I took some time to dive into the code and found out that I could easily blend this asset in my own project, making an enemy out of it, making a character controller out of it, adding some new values or tweaking the physics a bit. there's really a lot of possibilities in this asset and the well-commented script makes it an effortless endeavor.

I would even say that the video doesn't neccesarily really reflect all the possibilities that well.

One convenience that I missed and hope to see in a future release:

- a function within the ragdoll_spawn() script or a seperate script to easily change the scaling for each seperate ragdoll fixture (*scaler macro) for all the segments.

The asset is excellent. You can learn a lot from it and you can even use it in your project directly. Totally worth it.
Some questions :
1. what _g_bal_perc and _g_bal_perc_pSpd stand for (o_ragArm Step event)
2. why you change the velocity of a ragdoll instead of directly giving it a force
3. I am still studying and working on this asset and I have added items like umbrella held in player's hand. Are you still working on this asset? Can I share it with you and I think this asset can improve more especially on the locomotion part.

Interesting concept

Excellent and interesting 5 out of 5!! please make a update so we have a walking ragdoll. This release aka the drunken sailor. Good luck and thanks so much for having this on the market place.

Ok, but could be improved.

The ragdoll bow more than stands. It would be nice to be able to give the ragdoll more settings in the ragdoll_spawn script. Ex make it more stiff, set max constraint separation... Also so it have a rest state so it don't shiver.
