exPatchWindowClose will allow you to capture the close button of the game window on Windows and if the player tries to navigate away in a HTML5 game.

Useful if you need to do certain operations before ending the game in that manner or protecting the player from navigating away from the page for HTML5 games.

HTML5 only allows for a dialog message to be shown due to security restrictions. On Windows you can do whatever you wish with the close button event.

This Extension works for Windows (& YYC) and HTML5 targets.

Excellent Job!

Does what it suppose to do and it saved me a huge time. I love it!
I wish I can also change the caption-window "title" ... But if not, still a great extension.

Keep up the good work!

Hello & thanks! Not sure what you mean by window caption. Are you talking about the messagebox "GameMaker: Studio" title? Because the example is using the built-in show_question() messageboxes for the demo, and you can change that title by setting the Display Name of your game in Global Game Settings.

Works perfectly

Does exactly what it should do. If you make some kind of game/tool where users should be asked to save before closing the game/tool, this is exactly what you need to tackle this shortcoming in GMS.

This function actually existing in GM8, then YoYo took it out. Great job YoYo ... NOT! Another classic...

Thanks for making this plugin! Saved me bigtime.
