Description

A simple itemlist. Setup is really easy (Just scale the list in your room view) and the code does the rest. Select by clicking, or use your mouse / finger to drag and slide through the list. Use parenting or room creation codes to setup the lists. GMC Topic: http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=587527&hl=

Excellent Example

Thanks for a great example using it to learn a lot about spaces and dynamic menus.

I have one thing I can not figure out for the hell of me.. how would I go about adding a Gap in between each menu item.. only a few pixels(5-10) but it would be nice. Also it looks like a change needs to be made in a few locations to deal with the mouse clicks as well.

Yep, you're right. Since its all dynamically generated in code you'll need to edit a lot if you want to add a gap.

I feel like i have to revisit this asset soon and fix some bugs, and add features like this. Maybe I'll take a sunday soon to do so!

EDIT: I've updated the asset. You might want to try to edit "__itemheight" to give it your own custom height. This should also create your "gap"

Very Good

suggestions: that variable is used to verify the selected item?

"___selected" holds the selected item.

obj_custom_list.___selected will have the ID of the selected item.

Good

suggestions:
1#
When you scroll down, the one that is in the center of the list should be selected.

2#
When you press one in the list it should scroll down and center it.

You get a 5 star for it :-)
