This asset contains only the GameMaker Studio 2 Version.
Get a game up and running faster! This asset contains a game shell or simple template for easy game set up. Likely not suitable for every game, I use it as a quick way to get projects and prototypes up and running. It's relatively bare bones, but easy to modify and add to down the road.
Important Note: You need to set up the audio groups (music and sound_effects) and assign the sounds in those folders to those audio groups in order to avoid an error.

This is a free asset. However, as I use it for my own personal use as well, I will likely continue to improve it and might be willing to add features upon request. Please make requests to the support email. I will port it to GameMaker: Studios if there is interest.

Very easy to use
It came with 2 audio folders in the file and I get an error with that object as well. I'm giving it 2 stars because there is a lot of useful code here but you have to figure out how to make it work by messing around with things. It's more like a diy tutorial with most of the pieces done and troubleshooting than just a straight asset meant to work from but it was free and lots of effort looks like it was put in and a bunch of steps are already done so I can't complain too much.
Edit:one fix and it works perfect, that wasn't on the author, importing is weird. 5 stars.
it's currently broken.
Import your asset from market place and run it and you will find the audio object is causing a runtime error. Comment out those lines - as it looks like it's trying to initialise stuff that isn't there - and then you get the splash screen and nothing but black afterwards.
Not going to rate it in its current state.
Thank you for your review, as the asset description says, you need to set up the audio groups for this to work. I don't think I can fix the problem as the uploaded version has this set up correctly, but importing from the asset store appears to remove audio groups. All that's necessary to make it work is to create the two audio groups music and sound_effects and add the sounds in those folders to that group. I changed the language on the main page to make this more clear. Let me know if there are any other issues.
