Description

In order to use the asset, see the example, or read the instruction below:

  • The joystick(s) must be pluged before runnig the game.
  • In the Create event you must call the joystick_init() script. This checks the joystick(s) and list all of the buttons.

  • In the step event you must call the joystick_listen() script. This "listens" if the given joystick ID's button is pressed.

  • After you can use joystick_check_pressed()/_hold()/released() to get if the given joystick button is pressed/holding/released;

  • This fills the gap if joystick functions, if you have a joystick/gamepad, what can"t be recognized by gamepad_ event.

  • Tested on the latest Game Maker: Studio 1.4 version!
