This package contains a script that will automatically sort the tile map of a given layer into multiple layers set at various depths emulating dynamic depth based on the y value of each tile.
basically this script sets each tile's depth to equal depth_offset(should be room_height) - y so any object which also has it's depth set dynamically using the same formula will appear in front or behind the tile appropriately for a top down or isometric game.

Doesn't Work Very Well
Using a 32x32 grid, I was unable to achieve a working result. Some tiles are still in front of the player when they shouldn't be.
At school we are doing this and it was very helpful.
Thanks for sharing! Been trying to figure out dynamic depth sorting to work for above and below ground levels.
