This is a ui framework I worked on for about the past year and I tried to put in everything that I could think off.
Here is this windows 3.1 demo I made using uiZ: https://tthecreator.itch.io/uiz-show
Don't forget to read the README in included files.
Here's a list of features:
THIS IS A VERY BIG ASSET, meaning that it's bound to have just a few bugs in it. Luckily for you, I offer full technical and educational support to anyone buying this asset*.
Made for more advanced users. Moderate programming and gml knowled is required.
*Support only given if reasonable, where my time and your effort into solving problems will determine my help. (I won't give education support to someone who hasn't even read/watched the tutorials or who should learn gml first.)
**Visual designer not (yet?) working on gms2. Might add that later using the promised plugin api.
***Just numbers to get an idea of the size of the asset, you won't be needing every single object and script.

BEST. UI. FRAMEWORK. EVER!
One of the best assets in the marketplace that offers many features, gives you flexibility in dealing with UI, and amazingly documented. Just get it and it will take care of you!
I cannot recommend this asset highly enough
I'm relatively new to GameMaker but feel pretty confident with coding. I was looking for an asset that could scroll content and came across this one. This has been instrumental with helping me build my game with all of its menus and UI. It's a little tricky to get the hang of it at first, almost like learning a new language, but once you get past that hump it's so easy to use. The publisher has been incredibly helpful, kind and quick to respond. I recently learned how to draw sprites within the objects, even animating, and it couldn't be simpler. Actually, making scrolling content is SOOOO easy it's ridiculous.
If you hate building UI or have trouble with it, I cannot recommend this highly enough. It isn't for absolute newbies as it is a little tricky to get a hang of it, but even then the publisher and his tutorials will help you through it I'm sure.
Please try this huge and wonderful asset. You won't regret it.
BTW it does work with 1.4 and 2.0 and with HTML5 even.
