Online Highscores Example

Introduction

This demo shows the functionality of the scripts and other functionality discussed in the tutorial Online Highscores, which you can find on YoyoGames's forum. This demo shows a highscore list and you can add extra names to it and change your own name to show how it works. The tutorial was written for GMS2.3 but should work for GMS2 and GMS1.4 as well. Of course the demo is well-commented and you may use it for free without any need for giving us credits!

Why is it useful and how to use?

• The demo clearly shows what you can expect from the tutorial
• You can play around and change some minor things so you see directly what changes and how you can tweak it in such a way that you can use it in your own game!
• Please note that trying this example might not work properly on HTML5! See the tutorial for a possible solution, but I can't guarantee that it always works!
