Description

Demo: Download

Seamless Transitions currently have 4 different styles and in total 8 transitions. All of them are design to be used interchangeably in any game. This transition pack includes fade in any wanted color, slide transitions in all four directions, stripes in both horizontal and vertical planes and a expanding circle, which goes well with happy and funny game.

Fully commented code also makes it extremely easy to handle and change so that it fit what YOUR project(s) needs. To get it to work you'll have to add

room_goto_transition(next_room, transition, [steps]);

to the object you want to teleport you, where steps is fully optional. You can find the list of all transitions in "rm_initialize"'s Creation Code!

May be me, but really couldn't get it to work.

I tried reading the how to multiple times, looking over obj_control's code to try and grasp what it was doing. No dice, spent a solid two or three hours trying to get anything at all going and I couldn't. Even referenced it with a youtube vid of yours. For a very inexperienced coder like me, the directions were not clear enough, and I had no idea what to do just to simply implement this into my project. The most i got was a black box that faded in the top left corner and never went away. Wish I just understood what I was supposed to with any of the provided stuff. It looks great in the demo, but the problem may just be that this isn't noob friendly. At which case if you aren't a noob, wouldn't you just code a transition yourself? Dunno. Cheers anyways, I can tell you put work into it! Just didn't work for me. Which is alright, I'll figure out something.

Button

This looks awesome and smood, but to bad i am struggling with creating a button that starts the action. I wanted to use it in a mobile game but I just cant figure it out with the way this is made.

If you have a button press variation i would buy it too (please let me know if you do!!)

Works great but small issue in certain transitions

These work great, but I can see some of the transitions are not releasing memory (can see in task manager in windows). Can this be checked please?
For example, if you keep using circle or fade, I can see memory usage grow, but up/down do not have this problem

Thank you so much for mentioning this! I uploaded a new version with a hotfix. The problem was that I created surfaces for the up/left/down/right transitions, but only deleted them if the finished transition was one of those transitions. I made sure to delete the surfaces after each and every transition now. ^^

Excellent. Top notch.

Moving from GM7/8 to GM:S, the first thing I missed was room transitions. DIY transitions are a pain to implement. This extension makes them easy as pie to add to any project. The example code is well documented as well, so it's simple to get started with.
