Abbreviates a real value and outputs a string of that. This uses the format "k" for thousands, "m" for millions etc, but is easily editable to anything you want.
string_abbrev_real also accepts an argument for the number of decimal places in the abbreviation. So 1234567 could be 1m, 1.2m or 1.234m.

issue with ne update or something
everynumber now shows in game -1. is it problem with new GM update. can you fix this?
Loads of issues...
Downloaded the plugin for my work colleague (He's the one who owns GMS).
The asset does the job it's supposed to, but there are a few unusual glitches. For example, if the amount is below 1k it throws an error due to division by zero.
It also seems to screw around with the spacing of the string, in my case.
It appears to append a lot of spaces before the number. Am unsure why.
THANKS!!! perfect for my!!
All cool but have some little error like Barreytor D - divide by zero if the amount you use with it is lower than the minimum threshold of 1k
But this is fixed in script by adding:
else if( Rea>=0 )
And this worked like a charm.
Neat but has some faults
It tries to divide by zero if the amount you use with it is lower than the minimum threshold of 1k
Otherwise it's a pretty neat thing
Just What I Needed!
Thanks NAL! You're the best! This is very essential! ;)
