Gamepad Keyboard is a simple asset that allows you to simulate typing using a gamepad, you no longer need a keyboard to type!
Ever notice when you play something like Minecraft on the XBox 360 (Just an example, I am not affiliated with Microsoft.) that when you make a sign, a big ugly keyboard comes up blocking the rest of the screen? Well this asset aims to fix that! Not only is it a keyboard that you can type with, it's a very unique keyboard that is simple to use and doesn't block the entire screen.
It's revolutionary design is loosely based off of the Steam big picture keyboard -- A very well done keyboard, and made some improvements.
It's very simple. Using the left analog stick, you choose from eight sets of characters simply by moving the stick in one of the eight basic directions. Then, from there, you use the right analog stick to choose from one of the eight characters then press right trigger to confirm it. Simple!
The entire system is easily customized, and easily changed. If you would like to see how it all works, refer to the manual.
NOTE!!! This system is quite heavy, and calling it does hurt the framerate. It should not be used in big gameplay parts, mainly because of how heavy the system is.
Extra note! This asset is only tested on the Windows module; therefore any other module is not guaranteed to work. HOWEVER, as long as your chosen module has support for the gamepad_* functions and all drawing functions, your module should be fine.
