This demo will show the code of the scripts and objects discussed in the tutorial Cloud Saving, which you can find on YoyoGames's forum. This demo shows two buttons: one for saving a score to the cloud and one for loading / downloading / sychronising with the cloud. Of course the demo is well-commented and you may use it for free without any need for giving us credits!

Why is it useful and how to use?

  • The demo clearly shows what you can expect from the tutorial
  • You can play around and change some minor things so you see directly what changes and how you can tweak it in such a way that you can use it in your own game!
  • Note that this example only works on Android and only if you have configured your Google Play Console account correctly!

If you have any improvements or if you found a bug, please tell us so we can improve it! Rating and sharing will be appreciated! :)

Extremely Helpful

With the lack of documentation regarding cloud saving, this tutorial was extremely helpful. I can confirm this works in 2019 and if you don't have it working, there's something wrong with how you've personally implemented it.

Works almost straight out of the box

And if you are new to this stuff PeliStar delivers a high quality support for free. Thanks for your work on the tutorial at the forum and the easy to modify asset, you can almost store anything with it or load the data back out of the cloud. It works great and is an easy way how to implement this very nice feature.
