This makes using gamepads really easy.

You just create a new object (name it whatever you want),

put "gp = gp_create(debug, throw_errors)" in the create event

then inside: "if(gp != false)" you can configure the gamepad using functions like:

  • gp_set_mouse_control
  • gp_set_left_click

for more info check the manual, (included file: gamepad_documentation.html)

How does this work

I'm totally new to the game engine.
How can I open the download? Text editor isn't working

Sorry for the late response, I don't check these things too often,
1) Open game maker
2) Click on "account" in the top bar
3) Log in to the marketplace
4) Click on "Marketplace Beta" in the top bar and select "My Library"
5) In this tab, all your assets are listed and you can download them and add them to your project.

not good

can't use mouse button on gamepad yet?

This review was left for a previous version of this asset.

Roxari (Publisher) 02 April 2017

Excuse me for the late response,

it is not yet possible to emulate a mouse click using the gamepad,
to get this effect you would have to copy all code inside the click event and then put it inside a "if(gamepad_button_check(device, button))" block.

This will be possible in version 2.0.0 wich will be released soon (expecting around: 27-30 June).
However, I've completely rewritten the engine and it will therefore not be backwards compatible.
The game maker part is finished, currently working on documentation!

EDIT: It is possible now (it has been for a while now)
