This demo shows you how to easly encode/obfuscate your save data to be unreadable by the naked eye.

I show you how to take score data save it and encode it using base64_encode and base64_decode

This will render the contents of your ini data unreadable and not easily editable without some knowledge of how to decode base64.

Example [scores] highscore=50

base64_encode

[scores] highscore="NjA="

NOTICE This is not an encryption this merely encodes the data. This means your normal player will not be able to read or edit the data very easily unless they put effort into learning how to decode base64 encoding. This simply makes it hard for your normal player to mess with the data.

Lemon Squeezy.

This was a nice little extension that not only reminded me to provide some sort of protection over my ini files, but made me literally change my whole code to incorporate this haha. Once again really easy to use and implement. Truthfully, this was almost too easy, that I could probably would have checked out the GM Help section. But I give 99 cents just as a thank you for the reminder. If you are new to GML and you don't quite understand how to implement this, then sure, you wont go wrong with this arguably, 5 minute or less, lesson/tutorial. Get's my recommendation, in that light.

The simplest way to save a file and preventing people to poke in too much.
It is so simple it could have been a simple tuto. But i did find out about the base64_encode(string) thanks to this.
